NX Re™
Chemical depolymerization for high-purity circular polymersAdvanced Depolymerization Technology
- Back-to-monomer depolymerization
- Suitable for high-value industrial sectors
- Continuous process with closed-loop operation
- Reduction in GHG emissions compared to traditional virgin monomers production
Recycling high-performance plastics remains a major challenge for industries that cannot compromise on quality. Mechanical recycling often leads to material degradation, while many chemical recycling routes struggle to deliver the purity required for demanding applications such as automotive, electronics, or medical devices.
At the same time, circularity targets are pushing manufacturers to incorporate recycled content without sacrificing performance or traceability. This creates a clear need for technologies capable of restoring plastic waste to virgin-grade quality.
NX Re™ is NEXTCHEM’s advanced chemical recycling platform for specialty polymers such as PMMA, and PO. Using depolymerization technology, it converts plastic waste back into virgin-grade monomers like MMA, and Styrene and Olefins, ready for re-polymerization into new virgin-like plastics.
The process is based on a depolymerization reaction of plastic waste in a reactor operated with a continuous flow of molten metal to deliver ultra-clean outputs compliant with demanding industrial standards.
NX Re™ is particularly suited for applications in automotive, electronics, acrylic surfaces, coatings, packaging and medical devices where high performance and traceability are critical.
